What is your role and day-to day activities at First Person Project?
I work part-time as a Marketing Executive for First Person Project. My role varies day-to-day, which is something I love. One day, I could be working on website design, and the next, I am aligning our brand strategy.
My main goal is to communicate the amazing and life-changing work that First Person Project does. I am passionate about sharing the stories of those we help and showcasing the positive impact our initiatives have on the community
What connection/experience have you had with mental health?
I have family and friends who have suffered or are still suffering from mental health issues. Growing up in a socially and economically deprived area in North Wales, I witnessed firsthand the lack of resources, help, and opportunities available to support and inspire people. Most importantly, I saw the long waiting lists and the hurdles to accessing support. I love the open-door and all-welcome policy at First Person Project and have seen the power of community in improving people's welfare in my hometown.

What connection/experience have you had with mental health?
If you had a day off to recharge your mental health, what would your ideal day look like? What activities would you enjoy?
A mental health recharge day for me involves exercise of some sort, time with my family and a takeaway (I love Pho on Bold Street).

What do you enjoy most about working for First Person Project?
I love that my work helps people see the amazing efforts of First Person Project. I really enjoy working with our friendly team and learning about the impactful work they do with individuals. It's inspiring to hear stories of people who have completely turned their lives around and now volunteer, sharing their assets with the community of Liverpool.
I'm also a creative person, and I get to exercise my creativity at First Person Project. I have the space to lead and launch innovative marketing strategies, which is incredibly fulfilling
What positive attributes do you bring to the First Person Project team?
I like to think I am a friendly and approachable person to work with. My PhD in Chemistry has taught me how to approach projects in an analytical and methodical way. These skills have been invaluable in my role as a Marketing Executive at First Person Project.
Being approachable helps me collaborate effectively with our team and engage with our community. My analytical background enables me to develop data-driven marketing strategies and systematically execute campaigns, ensuring that our efforts are both creative and impactful
